WELCOME BACK

Welcome back to another school year! We are delighted to see all the children back and looking so happy and well. We would like to wish all our staff a wonderful year working alongside our children and families. We hope that your children have settled well into their new classes and routines and are looking forward to the year ahead. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to Mr Diskin, who has joined us as a new Teaching Assistant and is currently working in Year 5.We wish all our staff, children and families a happy and successful start to the new academic year!

MINI VINNIES LITURGY

This autumn, on Thursday 24th September at 1:40pm, we will welcome a new group of Mini Vinnies who have volunteered their time to support the school in its approach to helping vulnerable people within our school and local community, as they “see, think and do.” Thank you to all the children who have put their names forward to join this special group at St Joseph’s School. We look forward to seeing the difference they will make throughout the year.

School Meals

All children in Foundation 2 and Classes 1 & 2 are entitled to a free school meal. The School Food Plan states: “Good food provision in schools has been shown to lead not only to healthier children, but to improved attainment.” School dinners for children in Classes 3, 4, 5 and 6 cost £3.00 per day. Payment should be made using the Arbor online payment system, and your account must be in credit for your child/children to have a school meal. Free School Meals are also available for families who are in receipt of certain benefits. For further information, please visit:

BREAKFAST CLUB

Our breakfast club runs from 7:30 or 8:00 up until 8:50am each morning and can be booked via arbor. For further information please see our school website https://stjosephsretford.secure-primarysite.net/breakfast-club/

WRAP AROUND CARE CLUB

AUTUMN TERM

As Autumn approaches please ensure that your child

has in school:

• Indoor shoes

• A coat

• A school jumper

• A named water bottle

• Children should come to school in PE kit on PE days
