Welcome to the Year 2 page. Here you can find information, learning and additional challenges for your child to extend their learning at home.
This year, PE will be taking place on Tuesdays. Children will need their PE kits in school. PE may take place inside or outside so please ensure your child has jogging bottoms and outdoor shoes.
Each Year 2 child will receive two reading books a week and a small homework task (suggested 20 mins a week). Book bags will need to come in on Mondays, ready go home on Wednesdays. It is always recommended that little and often reading practise is best (Suggested 10 mins per day). If your child reads anything in addition, please add that into the diary.
Spellings will be given in a termly booklet and the children will take part in a small test on a Friday afternoon. There will be a small award given to each child with their result and any spellings that need further practise.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me on Class Dojo or at the end of the school day.
