Confirmation Preparation Programme: Open to anyone in Year 6 and above who have made their
First Holy Communion. The parish has produced a booklet for potential candidates which can be
downloaded from their webpage: Sacramental Preparation (weebly.com) If anyone needs hard copies,
they will be available from next weekend. Please read the booklet carefully before you sign up. The
decision to be confirmed should not be taken lightly. The applicant must decide for themselves. Parents must not make the decision for their child. If you decide that you want to join the preparation programme:
1. You will have to write a letter to Fr John stating your intentions and why you want to be confirmed.
2. Please also include your age, your current school year group, your parents name and their contact email in your letter (write or type clearly, we will use this email to let you know the outcome of your application).
3. Letters will have to be personally handed in to Fr John by Sunday 13th November 2022 (extended
deadline).

We pray for all the children preparing for the sacrament of 1st Holy Communion.

For our Candidates;

may the light of Christ help us to see your brightness

reflected through God’s glory in the world around us,

Lord of light:

Shine through us.

For the Candidates

may the light of Christ and the promise of eternal life

turn the darkness of sadness and despair you encounter

into the joy of hope and peace.

Lord of light:

Shine through us.

Listen to the words of the prophet Isaiah

The LORD God is waiting to show you how kind he is and to have pity on you.

The LORD always does right,

And he blesses everyone who trusts him.

The word of the Lord.

Response: Thanks be to God
