In Our School...

Welcome to the parish of St Joseph's Retford.

The parish priest is called Father John Nwadike.  He can be contacted on 01777 703373

We pray for all the children preparing for the sacrament of first Holy Communion.  May the blessings of Jesus, the Bread of Life come upon them as they draw closer to him in Holy Communion.

Mark 14;22-24

At the Last Supper while they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples.  "Take it," he said,"this is my body". Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and handed it to them, and they all drank form it.  Jesus said, "This is my blood which poured out for many."

We join those who are preparing for their First Holy Communion.

We give thanks for this great gift from Jesus to those whom he loves.

We remember especially the souls of six Vincentian Seminarians who died a few days ago in an accident on their way to a conference in Nigeria. May they rest in peace. Please pray for their families too.

At the end of February Bishop Ralph Heskett visited our school and over the weekend he visited our parish on both Saturday night and Sunday morning for mass.  We welcomed Bishop Ralph to our parish community and shared the great work of our school.
